In Year 1 we gently ease the transition from Early Years Foundation Stage towards the more structured demands of KS1.  The children spend longer periods on focused activities in Literacy and Numeracy as their attention span increases.  We have access to sheltered outdoor facilities and continue to enjoy learning through play and 'forest school'! Please do have a look at the information we have for each term - it will help you support your child's learning.

The children really flourish this year, becoming increasingly independent, and we love working with them!
